Abstract

This study aims to describe the learning strategies for maharah kitabah among fourth-grade students at MI Plus Darul Hikmah Ngancar-Kediri, identify the obstacles faced by teachers and students, and evaluate the forms of assessment used in the learning process. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and document analysis. The results show that the maharah al-kitabah learning process has been going quite well and is tailored to the characteristics of the students' age. Teachers use lectures, discussions, and games to encourage active student participation, with the help of simple media such as posters and vocabulary cards. However, several challenges were still found, such as low student motivation, limited vocabulary mastery, and errors in writing Hijaiyyah letters. The evaluation was carried out through daily tests, midterm exams, and final exams. However, students still experienced difficulties when faced with questions without the help of teacher translation. Therefore, a more communicative approach and regular translation exercises are needed to improve students' understanding and writing skills in Arabic
