Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the teacher's role through an emotional intelligence approach on the Arabic learning outcomes of tenth-grade students at MA Mambaus Sholihin Suci Manyar Gresik. The emotional intelligence approach is considered essential in supporting students' learning success, especially in Arabic subjects, which require high motivation and attention. The focus of this research is the relationship between the teacher's role and emotional intelligence with students' learning outcomes. The study employs a quantitative descriptive method with a correlational design to measure the relationship between variables. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. The research sample consists of tenth-grade students selected through purposive sampling. The data were analyzed using the product-moment correlation technique to determine the extent to which the teacher's role, through an emotional intelligence approach, affects students' learning outcomes. The results of the study indicate a significant relationship between the teacher's role through an emotional intelligence approach and students' learning outcomes. The obtained correlation value is 0.817, which indicates a strong influence. This value was compared with the "r" table at a significance level of 5% (0.325) and 1% (0.418), reinforcing the conclusion that the emotional intelligence approach greatly contributes to improving students' learning outcomes. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for teachers and education practitioners in enhancing the quality of learning, not only from an academic perspective but also in terms of students' emotional aspects, thereby creating a more holistic learning process.
