Abstract

Abstract: This article describes the construction of local cultural values to strengthen religious moderation for Nurul Jadid, Probolinggo Regency students. This research utilizes a qualitative approach to investigate aspects of the natural environment and seeks to interpret this phenomenon. Data collection techniques utilize observation, interviews, and documentation studies. In this study, researchers used several stages of data analysis, namely the reduction stage, the data presentation stage, making temporary conclusions, and verification activities. The research results concluded; a) education in strengthening the religious moderation attitude of Islamic boarding school students at Nurul Jadid based on the trilogy of santri values, namely: istoqomahan in fulfilling the obligatory fardhu'ain prayers five times a day, fasting, and zakat fitrah. The second trilogy of santri must follow the rules set by the pesantren. The third principle of the santri is to submit to God's commands, to be virtuous, and to respect one another; b) The construction of religious moderation carried out at the Nurul Jadid Islamic Boarding School was also built through the principles of organizational awareness, awareness of society, nation and state, namely the involvement of the students of the Nurul Jadid Islamic Boarding School in community service activities.
