Abstract
Perguruan Tinggi Agama Islam (PTAI) merupakan Center of Knowledge khususnya pengetahuan keagamaan, lebih khusus lagi PTAI merupakan center of Islamic Knowledge, penguasaan pengetahuan keislaman membutuhkan berbagai device supporting diantaranya pengetahuan bahasa asing, sehingga pengetahuan tentang bahasa asing merupakan kapital yang sangat berarti, apalagi bahasa Arab merupakan bahasa pengantar sebagaian besar khazanah pengetahuan keislaman. PTAI sepatutnya beroreintasi pada kedalaman kajian keislaman bukan hanya melakukan kajian yang sederhana, maka kedalaman kajian keislaman akan mudah terwujud dengan penguasaan bahasa Arab. Untuk mewujudkan penguasaan bahasa Arab yang ideal perlu dilakukan penguatan pembelajaran bahasa Arab dan strategi-strategi cerdas
