Abstract

This article discusses religious moderation education in high schools in Lamongan, which is one of the cities that contributes to terrorism in Indonesia. The purpose of this article is to describe the strategy for developing an PAI curriculum based on religious moderation and practical implementation of an PAI curriculum based on religious moderation in high schools in Solokuro sub-district, Lamongan district in practice. The method used in exploring the research objectives is to use a descriptive qualitative approach with the type of field research, while data collection uses observation techniques, interviews and document studies with validity tests using triangulation and data analysis through data reduction, data collection, verification and conclusion. The results of the study indicate that the development of an Islamic religious education curriculum based on religious moderation in high schools in the Solokuro Lamongan sub-district is pursued through first, developing the curriculum principles of balance and rahmatan lil alamin (universal). Second, curriculum goals lead to institutional goals, curricular goals and instructional goals. Third, the organization or structuring of the curriculum with additional material from the Islamic religious education family. Fourth, learning strategies that actively involve students and learn to do. Fifth, program evaluation, process and student learning outcomes. Meanwhile, the implementation of the Islamic Religious Education curriculum based on religious moderation in senior high schools in the Solokuro Lamongan sub-district is carried out through intra-curricular activities or the learning process in class, programmed extracurriculars and co-curriculars or habits in the school environment that contain the values ??of religious moderation.
