Abstract
This study aims to improve students' Arabic speaking skills (maharah kal?m) through the implementation of Storytelling Learning. The study used Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was implemented in two cycles, including the planning stage, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 21 first-semester students of the Arabic Language Education Study Program (PBA) at Kiai Abdullah Faqih University, Gresik. Data collection techniques included observation, speaking performance tests, and documentation. Data were analyzed descriptively quantitatively and qualitatively with success indicators in the form of achieving a speaking skill score of 75 by at least 75% of students. The results showed that in cycle I the average student speaking skill score reached 46.8 with a completion percentage of 0%. After corrective actions were implemented in cycle II, the average score increased to 78.6, with a completion rate of 76.2%. This finding indicates that the systematic and continuous implementation of Storytelling Learning is effective in increasing students' confidence in speaking Arabic.
