Focus and Scope

JIEM (Journal of Education and Islamic Moderation) serves as a rigorous academic platform dedicated to the intersection of Islamic Education and Global Peace Building (formerly phrased as religious moderation). The journal explores how educational systems ranging from formal universities to indigenous institutions like Pesantren and Madrasah foster tolerance, counter-radicalism, and inclusive pedagogy in pluralistic societies.

We invite research that examines Islamic education not just as a theological transfer, but as a mechanism for social transformation, conflict resolution, and character development in the 21st century. Interdisciplinary studies linking educational policy with sociology of religion are highly encouraged, provided they offer concrete pedagogical implications.
