Abstract

The diversity of students' interests and learning tendencies in grade 11 of MA Tanwirul Qulub presents challenges as well as opportunities in the learning process. Teachers have a central role in accommodating these differences through the application of flexible and adaptive learning methods. In addition, tolerance between students and between students and teachers is the main factor in creating an inclusive and harmonious learning environment. With mutual respect and tolerance, students can not only understand the material better, but also develop a more moderate and open character to differences. This research highlights the importance of the role of teachers as facilitators, mediators, and agents of change in building multicultural awareness among students. Through the application of inclusive and diverse learning methods and exemplary in being tolerant, teachers can create a classroom atmosphere that respects individual differences. In addition, tolerance also plays a role in strengthening interaction between students, thus forming a school culture that upholds mutual respect and cooperation in diversity. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection methods through interviews, observations, and documentation. The type of research used is library research combined with field studies. In addition, this study also analyzes the interpretation of verses in Surah Yunus and Al-Baqarah to understand the concept of tolerance in an Islamic perspective. This research was conducted at MA Tanwirul Qulub, Sungelebak, Lamongan.
