KONSEP IDEAL PEREMPUAN DALAM KELUARGA DAN MASYARAKAT PERSPEKTIF TAFSIR ZAINAB AL-GHAZALI

Abstract

This study discusses the concept of ideal women in the family and society from the perspective of Tafsir Zainab Al-Ghazali. The purpose of this study is to understand the position of women in the public sphere in this era. By using a qualitative research method with a descriptive analytical approach, this study found that in the interpretation of Zainab Al-Ghazali, women's participation in the public sphere is supported as long as it is in accordance with sharia principles. Al-Ghazali emphasized that women have equal rights with men in various fields, such as social, political, and economic, without ignoring their domestic roles. The public role of women in Islam is not only permitted but also encouraged, as long as the balance with family responsibilities is maintained. Her views broaden the understanding of Islamic law with an inclusive and relevant interpretation for modern challenges related to the balance of women's roles.
