The detailed Author Guidelines can be downloaded here.
Manuscript Scope and Originality:
Submitted manuscripts should focus on themes related to Islamic education, moderation, and related interdisciplinary studies. Articles must be original, free from plagiarism, and not previously published or under review in any other journal. Preference is given to works based on empirical or field research. Manuscripts should be written either in English (Microsoft Word, Cambria 12 pt, single spacing, A4 size), and must be submitted through the online system at: [insert JIEM submission link].
Manuscript Identity:
Each manuscript must include the following information:
Title of the paper
Full name(s) of author(s)
Institutional affiliation(s)
Active email address
Abstract (approximately 200 words, including research background, objectives, methods, key findings, conclusion, and significance)
Keywords (3–5 terms representing the core ideas of the study)
Article Structure:
For empirical research articles, the main sections should include:
Introduction, Method, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, and References.
Introduction:
The introduction should present the background, relevant literature review (showing the state of the art), research objectives, and problem formulation, all written as a single section without subheadings.
Method:
This section should describe the research design, data sources, data types, data collection techniques, and data analysis procedures in paragraph form.
Results and Discussion:
Present key empirical findings derived from field data, such as questionnaires, surveys, interviews, observations, or document analysis. Supporting materials like tables and figures may be included to enhance clarity. Each table and figure must be center-aligned, numbered sequentially, and referenced within the text (e.g., Table 1, Figure 1). The title should appear above the table, while the source (if applicable) should be placed below the table and aligned to the right.
Conclusion:
The conclusion should concisely summarize the main findings and highlight their theoretical and practical implications in the context of Islamic education and moderation. Use bold Cambria 12 pt and avoid indentation.
References:
All in-text citations and references must conform to the APA Style (7th Edition) and be managed using reference management tools such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.
Transliteration:
Arabic transliteration should follow the standard format of the Library of Congress system.
