Abstrak

This study aims to examine the contribution of Islamic education in strengthening interpersonal and kinesthetic intelligence of students at MTs Al Mukarromin Gresik. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection methods through observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the contribution of Islamic education to strengthening interpersonal intelligence is realized through a regional language habituation program that instills the values ??of politeness and social communication skills. While strengthening kinesthetic intelligence is realized through extracurricular hadrah activities that emphasize body movement coordination, togetherness, and students' motor expressions. Then from the impact, students at MTs Al Mukarromin have good Javanese language skills and also have an ingrained attitude of politeness in them, while from kinesthetic intelligence, students at MTs Al Mukarromin can develop their fine and gross motor skills and also have an ingrained attitude of love for the Prophet SAW. From the supporting factors of interpersonal intelligence, there is the role of teachers and parental support. However, the inhibiting factor is from interests and talents. Then from kinesthetic intelligence, the supporting factors are from parents, society and institutions. However, the inhibiting factor is from the physical condition of the student. These findings indicate that Islamic education can play a strategic role in shaping students' social and physical skills in an integrated manner.
